Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information VoraDoc handles when you create, save, and export resumes and cover letters.

Effective September 3, 2026

Information VoraDoc handles

VoraDoc may handle your name, email address, profile image, sign-in provider details, account settings, and session information when you create or use an account. Email/password authentication and Google or GitHub sign-in are provided through VoraDoc's authentication system.

Documents and editor data

Resume and cover-letter content is provided by you. When you choose cloud saving, that content and related details such as the selected template and document title are stored with your account. The editor may also keep draft information in your browser so work can be recovered locally.

PDF preview and export are performed in your browser. VoraDoc does not send document HTML to a server merely to create the PDF.

Usage and security information

VoraDoc records limited operational information needed to run and protect the service. This can include template ratings and usage, document counts and storage size, authentication and save activity, rate-limit events, session details, browser information, and IP-derived security records. Administrative security actions are audited.

How information is used

  • Provide authentication, document saving, template selection, ratings, and account management.
  • Send verification and password-reset emails when requested.
  • Apply usage limits, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and maintain service security.
  • Understand aggregate service activity and improve reliability.

Service providers

VoraDoc relies on service providers to operate the application, including hosting infrastructure, MongoDB Atlas for database storage, Resend for authentication emails, and Google or GitHub when you choose their sign-in options. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.

Cookies and local storage

Authentication uses cookies or similar browser storage to maintain secure sessions. The editor uses local browser storage for draft recovery and related editor continuity. Blocking these technologies may prevent parts of the service from working correctly.

Your choices and retention

You can edit or delete saved documents, manage connected sign-in methods, and delete your account through available account controls. Information is retained while needed to provide the service, satisfy security and operational requirements, or meet legal obligations. Some security and audit records may remain for a limited period after other account data is removed.

Security and changes

VoraDoc uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be updated as the service changes. Material revisions will be reflected by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice.
